Dominical se encuentra en la costa sur del Pacífico de Costa Rica, a poca distancia al sur de Quepos y Manuel Antonio. Esta ciudad costera de surf es pintoresca y tranquila, está rodeada al norte por el río Barú, al este por imponentes montañas y al sur por una serie de hermosas playas y calas.

Uvita está a las puertas del Parque Nacional Ballena y el mundialmente famoso Cuento de ballenas y la puerta de entrada a la Zona Sur, y está a solo minutos de Ojochal y Cortes, que son pequeñas ciudades que ofrecen una variedad de servicios adicionales, como el nuevo hospital en Cortes y excursiones en zip line en la montaña Pueblo de Osa.

Playas:
Playa Dominical ofrece amaneceres dramáticos hacia el sureste, así como algunas de las puestas de sol más fabulosas del Pacífico de Costa Rica hacia el noroeste. Independientemente de la temporada, quedarás hipnotizado por la belleza de este lugar único.
Pero hay mucho más. El área Dominical, desde Playa Guapil hacia el norte hasta Punta Ventanas hacia el sur, ofrece un tramo de innumerables playas, cada una única a su manera, para que pueda explorar. Puede nadar o caminar en las olas, pasear por las arenas doradas, navegar en kayak a través de las cuevas, disfrutar de un picnic a la sombra de las palmeras de coco o ver los pelícanos y las aves acuáticas que habitan en las costas.
Las temperaturas del agua en el Pacífico suelen estar en los años 70 superiores a 80 grados bajos durante todo el año, perfecto para practicar deportes acuáticos.
Playa Dominical Surfing:
Playa Dominical es considerada por los ticos y los turistas como la ola más consistente en Costa Rica. Las alturas de las olas rara vez caen por debajo de la altura de la cintura con un balance ideal. Playa Dominical es el punto focal para surfear en el área y normalmente ve entre diez y treinta surfistas en el agua en las temporadas altas (diciembre-marzo y junio-agosto).
