The town of Turrialba is located just 2 hours east of the capital city of San Jose. There's not much need to leave Turrialba now because of the larger super markets and everyday amenities that can be found in the center of town. The Municipal office has plans of building a new hospital in the coming years as it prepares for a more developed future of Turrialba.

Turrialba is the area of Costa Rica where you see no barb-wire. It is the area of Costa Rica where you leave your house door open and rarely worry about petty theft.
